The Teviot Woolshed
was built in 1880. Destroyed by fire 1924. Claimed to be the largest
single story woolshed in the Southern Hemisphere. It was 450Ft long,
155Ft wide, with a holding capacity of 8000 sheep and 40 shearers, the
sheep being shorn by the hand blade method.
